Ping släpper nya järn: i540 och G740

Pings nya i540 är en kraftfull ”Players Distance” i kompakt format för spelare som vill ha högre bollhastighet och mer längd i en klubba med kompakt utseende och härlig känsla. G740 är järnklubbor för spelare som behöver mer hjälp, med fokus på högre bollhastighet, maximal längd och mer konsekventa resultat.

Nya i540 från Ping är som sina föregångare en Players Distance-modell och de många tekniska finesserna är väl dolda i en stilren och bladliknande estetik.

Stoppkraft och precision

Längdvinsterna i i540 bygger på en avancerad konstruktion där tungstenvikter i sulan på J4–J7 sänker tyngdpunkten. Den smidda träffytan i maraging C300-stål är precisionssvetsad mot ett huvud i 17-4 rostfritt stål. Detta skapar en trampolineffekt som inte bara ger hastighet, utan även en högre bollflykt som ger bättre stopp på green.

Specifikationer och tillgänglighet

i540 kommer med tre olika loftalternativ (Standard, Power och Retro) för att kunna optimeras vid utprovning. Standardskaft är Dynamic Gold Mid 100 eller Ping ALTA CB Blue. De finns som J4–J9, PW och UW. Du kan prova ut och beställa dem redan nu i valfri shop som för Ping-klubbor. Priset är 2595 kronor per klubba (2695 med grafitskaft).

G740 – extremt förlåtande klubbor

Pings nya G740 är klubbor i kategorin ”extremt spelförbättrande” och är konstruerade för att hjälpa dig scora bättre.

Mer fart och mer längd

Längdvinsterna i G740 kommer från en bred sula som placerar tyngdpunkten lågt och långt bak, vilket ger en högre utgångsvinkel och mer stoppkraft på green. Genom en avancerad värmebehandling av det rostfria 17-4-stålet har Pings ingenjörer kunnat göra träffytan tunnare, vilket ökar flexibiliteten och bollhastigheten över hela ytan. För att kontrollera denna flexibilitet används PurFlex-cavitybadgen, som även förbättrar klubbans ljud och känsla.

En tydlig offset hjälper spelaren att enklare få upp bollen i luften, medan Hydropearl Chrome 2.0-finishen säkerställer konsekventa resultat oavsett väderförhållanden. Konstruktionen vilar på de klassiska teorier om förlåtelse som lades fram av Karsten Solheim, men i en modern tappning.

Specifikationer och tillgänglighet

G740 har specialutvecklade loft för att optimera avstånden mellan klubborna genom hela setet, och wedges i setet har frästa träffytor för ökad kontroll. Utöver standardloft finns även Power-spec och Retro-spec som alternativ. Standardskaft är PING AWT 3.0 eller PING ALTA CB Blue. Klubborna finns tillgängliga som järn 5 till 9, samt PW, UW och wedgar på 50° och 56°. De kan förbeställas redan nu till ett pris av 2 475 kronor per klubba (2 575 med grafitskaft).
